Might be a false positive. Avast was giving same results on other programs: http://community.freepascal.org/bboa...forum_id=24082
Do you both use Avast?

Win32: Evo-gen is Avast's generic malware name, which indicates suspicious activity, but not necessarily a specific known virus.
Getting the same thing, yeah using Avast, but I tried turning it off and the game won't launch. It crashes before it finishes the file check. tried full scan, nothing.
I'm having the same issue--with avast. I was able to start the game after I temporarily disabled the shields. Game's running fine now, shields enabled.
The file that it focused on is dvps.dll. I've already tried adding it to the list of exceptions, and even tried adding the whole Istaria directory, both which did nothing. Scanned the files, nothing found, only when the game tries to launch, and when I did a full scan. Reported the issue to avast, so who knows.
im using avast, and i got the same thing Drakarr got when i turned Avast off
This FAQ shows how to restore the file from the Avast Virus Chest (hopefully that will let you log back in, if not please create a support ticket)

This FAQ shows how to submit the file to their virus lab as a False Positive, that way they can manually check the file and then stop flagging it as a potential infection.

Thank you hamster supervisor, I will try this. It happened to me and my wife almost the exact same time.
TY Deforian, that worked, that was odd, I've used avast for as long as I've played and this has never happened. I also had to let it through the Windows virus protection too.
Thank you very much! :D It worked :)
Awesome, I've contacted Avast about getting this taken care of. In the meantime here's Avast's tutorials for excluding the patch.istaria.com website from scans http://www.avast.com/en-us/faq.php?a...KB108#artTitle
and then the Istaria install folder or just that particular file http://www.avast.com/en-us/faq.php?a...KB107#artTitle
I'm closing this thread as I've started a new one with the steps to fix the problem in the first post. Feel free to post in that one.
