Flying in is exactly what i feared would happen Pleas reconsider devs it should be the hachlings choice to build allies strong enough to fight there way to him
Geting to him is still dangerous even with gliding capablilities, there's still alot of running to get to a point to leap from and glide to him.
As long as hatchlings still have to take some risks and face some dangers (possibly with help) in order to get to a point to glide to the RoP mobs, then I have no problem with hatchlings gliding at all.
However 'twas done, 'tis a most singular feat, e'en if not by foot.
personally - I can't really see what difference it makes ..
The vast majority of hatchlings essentially have their ROP handed to them anyway.
Whether adults/ancients pull Kaa out of the spiral or the hatchling glides in - the end result is the same.
Hatchlings that want to do it "properly" will regardless.
Oh BTW - congratulations Hoberton - I suspect it is not that easy even with gliding.
Gliding is not a "I Win" button, mobs can still shoot you from the air with ranged spells/attacks. Through I wonder why Kaa didn't grilled you as soon as he saw you.
Getting past a few Fyakkis and other Western Deadland mobs was hard but the most dangerous was all the Blights. Didn't think I could get past them at first. They guard that spiral area quite well. The glide in was enjoyable.
aaaw - look how cute he is
many many congrads, hobbie!! that is an awesome accomplishment!
mw is level 86 advent and i am not looking forward to doing him now!! :o :D
:P That's cheating!
Then again, I used a not-entirely-legit method of getting to Kaa as well when I was a level 47 hatchling (although I didn't glide in!)...
Nifty!
I really don't see a problem with being able to do this at all. I almost ran down the spiral and got to him myself, but I got sniped right at the last moment - so I don't think gliding makes much of a difference. If a hatchling is determined enough, they'll get it done.
'Grats, Hob. :D
Yay! Congrats, my young friend! (You photograph nicely, too. ;) )
Congrats on completing such a perilous journey alone :)
If you stand in a specific location in the center of the Temple building nobody will attack you no matter how close they are...
1m, 10m or 50m it makes no difference. Only when you attack will that specific mob retalliate, although no adds will join in. That would by the way make Kaa soloable for higher lvl hatchies.
Eventhough it is still an nice accomplishment.
I do remember posting a while back with picture, of a fresh off of the training island 3rd level hatche making it to the entombed soul on Draak by me sneaking up to the spiritist tower and gliding past the 100th+ level blight wall and hitting the beach and running.
Yes, it was a challenge, and can be done :)
Grats Hoberton!
Next pic...how you made it out of the spiral and Western Deadlands alive...*grin*.
Drev
He's Gifted... doesn't have to make it out "alive". ;)
Recall! :D
