Making a single thread for all client updates now.

Blight Client 389.17.0
Please note that this update will not work on the live shards. Please don't patch to Blight and play on the live shards (with this update) because it will cause problems with quests and structures.
- Optimizations for machine distance checking when performing crafting (should improve frame rate)
- Fix for quest list not showing duplicate quests
- Fix for knowledge window products - should show duplicate products because some formula can make the same item, but with different ingredients
- Starting version of in game Encyclopedia
- Fix for big pause when using knowledge window and in product view mode, and then try to make a products.
- More animation features (turns, chat, play animation and move) in idle actions (future content)
- Fix so that when a quest is accepted, the available quests list shows any updates
- Fix for temporary items leaving a hole in equipment UI
- New feature to allow temporary augmentation to provide temp ability (future content)
- Fix for golems showing up brown on older Intel video cards
- Don't render players on ignore list
- Custom names for Structures
- Only spells that are marked as repeatable will auto-repeat
- Allow pets and disk to be swapped with a right click (if) the pet/disk is empty
- If an attack already has a keyword restriction, don't allow an augmentation to overwrite the restriction

With the latest client I crash every time on Blight Shard when I double-click or right-click and select "trade" with a vendor like Anarie or Nadia.

Fix for a bug introduced by the feature:
•New feature to allow temporary augmentation to provide temp ability (future content)
You can now have multiple dragon crafting abilities "on" ie smelting, mining, etc, but the Item creation menu might not see the "tool" if it wasn't the first one in list. The item creation menu will now see the dragon crafting ability even if it's not first one in your buff window. But this wouldn't be happening on live shards, just blight.

Devs have a Fix for the trade crash already and it will be patched out shortly.

Thank you for fixing the vendor crash - that was horribly annoying :)
However, the vault window will still not display the vault contents - it's stuck on "Loading..."

Not entirely sure on the date of this one, but going to guess it was the 21st.
Still, as with the previous ones, this one still isn't compatible with the current live version of the game, and should only be tested on blight.

- Charged items will create will full (or defined) charges instead of random value (often zero)
- Changes to perch detection code
- Do not render pets for ignored players

just wondering, do you have loading screens off by chance? it sounds very much like the old bug I used to have if I logged off with my vault open and loading screens off.
if so, turn loading screens on (the game runs MUCH smoother with them on, and load times are 5-10 seconds at the worst of times, unless your cache is empty), and relog while making sure that the vault window is not open.
If not I'm sure atleast Cega has seen your problem, the thing with bugs is that reproducing them can be quite hard in the case of UI related things, and that's really the only way to fix them.
Have you sent in a ticket to support? it's the best way to get into contact with devs regarding bugs.

Kerech closing the vault, log out and then back in, and wait til your fully ig and can move and see people in chat channels and/or items in your inventory. Then try opening vault and see if it opens, it should.

I have loading screens on. I have tried the close/logout/login trick and it still is happening.
This is on Blight, btw, in case I didn't mention that. It started on either Friday or Saturday during the time when vendors were causing crashing. I can open any storage I want, except for my vault. But once I try to open my vault, then I cannot open any more storage until I relog, then everything except the vault works again.
This is on two different installs, with all my characters, not just one, and I've cleared my cache.
*edit* The problem is *only* on Blight. My characters on Chaos can open their vaults just fine.

My vault and open storage (like workshops) is working fine on Blight Shard (client 389.22.0).

Maybe something allong the idea of WoW's "rested XP", which doubles your xp for a certain moment of time, and it accumilates while you're in a town/city (even while offline)?

The /sleep command (new) will work exactly just like /sit . But this will allow it to be a different state than /sit. This will allow a second animation state, such as a sleeping animation (emote) or an alternative sit emote. Likely dragons would benefit with new emotes initially and bipeds later. /sleep will also do the faster health regeneration, just like when you sit (sitting between battles). This could also be incorporated into the /afk command possibly.
389.23 should be on blight now.

Blight has just been patched with a fix for the "vault contents - it's stuck on "Loading..."
Along with the client fix, you will need to:
delete: /prefs/blight_<character name>/UIPersonal.def
or you can open that file and find the section that reads UI_OPEN_WINDOW VaultWindow (do not edit UI_LAST_WINDOW)
UI_OPEN_WINDOW VaultWindow
{
float Alpha = 1
...
add a line that reads:
bool Bank = true
That will make your vault work again. Sorry that this issue was introduced to Blight.

That's a good idea, can also add it to the hotkey actions, too; since it also exists there.

My inventory was filling up with stuff I needed to vault... and now I can access the tools I needed 3 days ago :)
*edit* There is still a minor glitch though - the vault window does not remember its size/position now. But at least it works! :)

I'll take this moment to voice a concern, why does a regular player have acces to the source files (you cannot animate without them)? even if it's just one. (as far as we know at least)
Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that we're getting new animations, but I've been doing some volunteer art for a while now (2 or 3 months if I'm not mistaken), and voiced my opinion that I wanted to make additional animations, many times, to the right people (atleast, the people that in my eyes would be going over new art assets), yet I've never recieved access to a single file, yet here we have a normal player getting access.
And if we go by recent rumours I guess we could say they got even more, heck we might as well call them a herald now, but that's rumours and I'm not here to start flame wars or anything.
And for those that remember or heard tales, we know how well the herald system went.

I know this players has access to said file because she has in fact told me, which I mentioned afterwards to the person that actually goes over the art assets, who said they had no idea, and that it was really not the normal way to get things like this done.

Again, I'm not saying I dislike that new animations are being added or that I have personal beef with this person, just that the fact that regular people can get their hands on the source files while people that do volunteer artwork for several months cannot shows that there's something going wrong.

Small update, I have talked with the right people, and whilst my initial post on the issue might've been a bit, one might say offended, everything is fine as of right now, and I apologise for getting so off-topic, thread will return to the normal delta posting now.

Does this place both parties invisible to each other? I can see a pretty bad way this could be used in the opposite manner it is meant to be used that would allow harassment and interference with another player's game play.

I'm pretty sure that in an earlier update, it was made so you can't see people you have on invis, now they also can't see you, so yeah, it's both ways :)

As far the the invisible player thing, just makes me wonder what in the world has been going on that would prompt this change to be necessary.

I might be a bit late since that update, but the /sleep animation. When I press the button or type the animation in chat, it says theres no macro called sleep in idk what it sayd. Shortly, it doesn't work for me. The game patched itself, I also repatched it once more.
Any idea why doesn't it work?

That happens when you had a Commands_Player.def in yohr resources_override. You have to amend it or delete it.
Most previously modded commands are added in officially, so theres no risk in deleting the file. The only one that hasnt been added is /settime

If I recall correctly I had commands_player in override for the setscale pref, Im not sure. Ill have to take a look about it.

Probably an old version of Commands_Player.def in your resources_override. Find it and remove and relog,it should work. If it still doesn't work, one of mods may be conflicting.

- When attempting to build a structure on plot, the structure can be planned, but then can't be built because "The position you selected is not on the plot owned by you".
- When recharging blighted items, don’t reduce charge on recharge.
- Correct vault window saving position
- Position of pets when flying, and for adult / ancients
- Make a better golem blob shadow
- Remove obsidian golem invisibility cloak
- Make adamantium chest not appear in floor

Trade limit increases, woo! can finally buy all those formulas from a trader once this gets pushed onto the client :)

Ah! great to know that it's now something official again then :P to be honest it was starting to become quite tiring checking to see whether something was updated every 5 hours or so ^^;
I'll definately keep my eyes out though, if I see you miss a single one expect back-up haha.

The first fix should take care of the flashing environment bug described here that currently also is on live, I suggest those who suffer from it to use the "patch to blight" option under troubleshooting in the launcher to fix it untill this patch is brought over to live.
