Re: Talk to the Team: Sorcerer
well it looks like to me sorcerer will not be able to do much of any crowd control anymore because they lost the spellbind ability more or less as its been i wager kept the 45 second recycle and duratino cut by 75% max and 50% and the least. yes it still is broken by any form of damage
Re: Talk to the Team: Sorcerer
Tested out Disconcert/Derange V and Spellbind/Numbing Haze
Disconcert does not stack or even override Derange V.
1) Previously, the only way to apply Disconcert was through mind spells, of which there weren't very many and they had decent cooldowns.
With the addition of a Mind Bolt spell, applying Disconcert to a target is quite easy. The gripe I have with Derange and Disconcert not stacking is that Disconcert is a school-specific debuff (though it is masterable), and yet it is still overridden by a simple debuff that comes from a tech that can go on mind spells.
Disconcert applies a 80% base power (or -20%) and 80% base focus (-20%), along with a +20% delay. Derange applied a 65% base focus and power debuff (or -35% base power and focus).
*Suggests* Either have it so both debuffs stack, or have one of them apply a good -power debuff and the other apply a good -focus debuff, with either of those also having a +delay effect.
Spellbind does not override Numbing Haze, but Numbing Haze will override Spellbind on a target.
1) Just something that would be nice to have - make it so that both spells will override each other. It's a real pain to have Numbing Haze on a target, but be unable to spellbind it.
Re: Talk to the Team: Sorcerer
Derange also needs to stack with lessen power, lessen focus, which lower those by specific amounts. Derange tech has the same issue as the Bane tech.
They need to be able to stack. It's an issue for mind abilities, but its even more of an issue for the Shaman/Blight abilities.
Bane and Derange need their keywords changed so they will stack with other debuffs. These 2 modify by a percentage. They should stack with abilities that modify by specific amounts.
Derange overwriting disconcert is probably fine, since it has a larger % change. The delay portion of Disconcert also means that it will be overwritten anyway by other common debuffs such as dispirit.
