Gregory tells you, ?I love talking about my mentor! Darkstaff was clearly the greatest Archmage ever! Not only was he supremely powerful, but he was also a master crafter of wondrous artifacts which he gave to other adventurers to help them fight evil. Alas, many of those artifacts are now lost. I am searching the world to recover as many of them as possible to help up in the fight against the Withered Aegis. Perhaps you could help??

Cursed Chain letter ? Gregory tells you, ?Hail and greetings old friend. Times are bad for me economically. Having to make a large financial settlement with an old girlfriend has left me very very low on cash. I may not be able to keep collecting new Darkstaff artifacts or support Melagant?s research any longer, in fact, I may have to sell some of my Darkstaff collection just to pay my bills. Why I may even have to give up drinking. These are desperate time and they call for desperate measures that is why I have resorted to the dreaded Cursed Chain Letter to revive my sagging finances. Here is the Delivery List, give one copy of the letter to each person on the list. Also here is a map to the Ice Temple and a Map to Loki?s Hideout. Recreating the Darkstaff ? Gregory tells you, ? Oh, I?m glad to see you again. It?s been awhile since you were here, but I still remember all the help you have given me. You have always proved to be trustworthy and honest and that is why I have chosen you for this most important task, the Making of the Darkstaff. At last I have all the components needed to create the Darkstaff and I have secured the cooperation of the two people and the one dragon needed to perform the ritual Making. Each of the three knows his part of the ritual and I am trusting you to carry the precious components to them and ultimately to bring The Darkstaff back to me. Even though I trust you, I will give you this warning in advance. The staff will be attuned to me and me alone, if anyone else tries to use it, the results will be fatal. Darkstaff?s Ale Mug - Gregory tells you,Kateos the Spellcrafter was also an apprentice to Darkstaff the Ancient. Apparently he spent many an afternoon studying with him in the local ale houses all over Istaria during the cold winter afternoons. Perhaps he would know where to find the Ale Mug that Darkstaff always seemed to have with him. It?s not really one of his "artifacts" as such, but it has great sentimental value. Take these coins to assist in your search.

Kateos the Scholar Trainer ? Kateos tells you, ?Ah yes, I did spend many afternoons watching Darkstaff drink his fill from that bejeweled Ale Mug of his. I often wonder if it might have had an enchantment on it that let him consume so much ale without ever seeming affected. Of course, that just could have come from practicing his drinking so often. You might try talking to Ellynor the Jeweler Trainer in New Rachival, I believe she used to make those Ale Mugs for Darkstaff.?

Ellynor the Jeweler Trainer ? Ellynor tells you, ?Yes, I have made and even repaired several Ale Mugs for Darkstaff over the years. In fact, I have one of his old ones here now. Gregory tell you, 'Ah, I can see you are more skillful than before. You should be able to help me with a little problem, that could get out of hand and destroy the town of Kirasanct. Ok, so maybe its not a little problem. A fiendish Fiend named Balial, who claims to have no master, has stolen a scroll of VolcanicEruption created by Darkstaff the Ancient. He plans to cast the scroll in an Ice Temple Northeast of Kirasanct in an attempt to warm the area to a temperature he finds more comfortable. Take this Amulet of Warming and try to trade it for the scroll. First, though, take this bag of coins to Jerri the Scholar Trainer in Aughundell to purchase a map to the Ice Temple.

I'm not so sure that Volcano idea was going to work anyway.

I haven't seen a nymph since those undead moved in and I'm getting very... ah well, you know how men get. Why yes, I have Wendall Hackson Grand Reserve in stock and, of course, I always have charm and love potions for sale. Just hand over the coins. Good luckto you and let me know if you see a nymph.

I need to obtain the incantation necessary to combine a Fused Crystal to Blessed Darkwood. Why? Haven't you been paying attention, I'm trying to create a copy of Darkstaff's Staff. I am the foremost expert in all of Istaria on the life of Darkstaff the Ancient and have the largest collection of Darkstaff artifacts and memorabilia. If I can recreat the Staff, it will be the prize of my collection. Now, back to business, I need you to take this Blank Spirit Rune to the spirit of Achilles the Achaian. Only a spirit can write the needed Incantation onto the rune and Achilles has agreed to do so in return for a small favor involving the spirit of Paris. Don't even mention the word "curse", I would never cast a curse myself. Achilles is located at the Spiritist Tower. Here is a Map to guide you on your way and here is a Blank Spirit Rune.

I need someone I can trust to take a flame crystal, a storm crystal, and a lightning crystal to an adult dragon named Breath of Fire and have him combine the three separate crystals into a Fused Crystal. Then I will only have to attach the Fused Crystal to the Blessed Darkwood to finally have my very own copy of Darkstaff's Staff. The dragon has agree to fuse the crystals in exchange for this chest filled with gems. Take the crystals and the chest and guard them carefully. If you should lose them, don't ever let me see your face again. Go first to Frizke, the cute little Scout Trainer, in Aughundell. She can help you locate Breath of Fire.

Frizke tells you, 'Good, you have arrived safely and you still have the chest and the crystals. Be wary though the next phase of your journey will be much more dangerous. Breath of Fire is spending some time at the Summoner Tower located on an Island far from here. Be sure to approach the Island at low tide. If you do, you should be able to wade and swim across without drowning. To help you on your way, I will give you this map. Good luck to you.'

Breath of Fire tell you, 'Well, since I'm going to be here awhile anyway, I may as well do this small task. In exchange for that chest filled with lovely jewels. Give me the crystals, then stand back, way back. The only way to fuse the crystals is for me to blast them with my dragon fire. Indeed a long hot blast. Here goes.....................perfect.
