Lament of the Gifted (Poetry)
Probably should put this to Order but since I play on Chaos... :P
Had a bit of boredom while making way-too-many flowstones...and a song that was playing put me in mind of a scene in which a Gifted One is having to bid farewell to an Ungifted friend who has passed on.
For any one curious, the inspiring song was "Azmaria no Uta" from the second Chrno Crusade soundtrack.

Lament of the Gifted
May the land hold your heart dear,
Sheltering your spirit from the Aegis' hand.
May you sleep and know only final peace.
Though I may not follow,
I wish you well.
Sleep forever, sleep forever,
Sleep forever my dear fallen friend.
May Istara hold you close eternally.
I will stand where you have fallen,
I shall keep the Aegis at bay as you sleep.
Though the Gift breaks our friendship's vows,
I will walk with you for a way.
Dream forever, dream forever,
Dream of the times we lived together.
May I at last join you one day.
I was pretty pleased with how this piece came out.
