I have NVidia GeForce FX 5200

Since this is pretty much the only game I play I'd have no choice about upgrading if necessary, though I may not be able to afford it for quite sometime.

Main system: Nvidia 8800 GTS 640mb
    Backup system: Nvidia 6200 AGP

Looking to upgrade to ATI 6xxx series when they release and move to a triple monitor setup.

No Intel graphics so the upgrade question is not relevant.

All three of my computers use ATI cards, though I don't remember the model for all of them.

The oldest (not counting the computer I'm about to upgrade) is this computer's ATI Radeon X1650, I do remember that much.

I have three systems, first one a laptop and the other two were home built.

    1) NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra
    2) NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT
    3) NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT - dual cards

N/a on the intel - wouldn't effect me either way. Though if it did effect me no I would not purchase a new video card just for Istaria. Cards get upgraded for two reasons 1-they died or 2-my video card just can't handle any of the new games (so once every 4-5 years).

    NVidia GeForce 9600 GT

No one else with NVidia thinks the lack of intel support would change anything. So guess not for me either?

The thought of a graphics improvement is very exciting.....

    No

I don't currently have the effects turned on for the Intel (laptop) but I think that the bare minimum mode should still run on the Intel chip sets.

At the moment I'm using the onboard card on my PC, but we do intend to replace it anyway - and yes, because I have this computer *specifically* to play Istaria on, if my onboard graphics card no longer worked, we would be putting in a new graphics card.

    Laptop - Nvidia GT 120M 1gb

Yeah I'd probably upgrade, although I'm pretty sure both chipsets would support whatever was added.

The more recent Intel chipsets have support for some effects, so you might not have to shelve support for them completely?

What type of video card do you have?
    ATI 5870 (1GB RAM)

If Istaria no longer supported Intel video cards for special effects, would you upgrade your video card to see the special effects?
N/A , as i always build my system and it will always have a standalone graphics card.

    Old computer: SiS 760
    New(er) Computer: NIVIDIA GeForce9800 GT

Dunno if there might be a problem with the SiS. Quiet frankly, that computer has no business running the game and how I manage to play on it for years is nothing short of amazing! I just use it mostly for testing mods these days on it and play strictly on the new computer. So if it turns out I cannot play on the old one anymore I'm not going to bother to update it, it not worth it.

I lurk within the depths of your mind, for I am INSANITY!
