dragon essence shaping trouble, even with the skill?

Unlike this thread, the solution offered didn't help me. I had looked in my abilities tab and saw I already had the essence shaping skill (the first time I tried this quest), but it wouldn't work. It acted like I didn't have it.

Not quite sure where to go now. I did restart the quest just in case, but no dice. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious? Help?

Have you pulled that icon to a hot bar, then clicked on it to activate the craft skill?

Interesting... I had done that the first time, but it told me "move around a bit before trying that". I didn't know what it meant exactly, but I did. Guess that did it! Thanks a bunch

"Move around a bit before trying that," I guess is an anti-bot mechanism...

Is it a bug that "Dragon Essence Shaping" is one of the only abilities that doesn't auto activate when clicking the - mark in the knowledge window?

Yeah, that's probably a bug. Haven't noticed it myself because I still click my hotkey buttons, though.

If you had not moved at all after logging in then you must move first. Thats not a bug, but by design.
