    Fleshing out various aspects and related items .. as you do, again .. using a new thread for ease of reading .. see also PREVIOUS THREAD - New Craft Idea - GARDENING (including - UPDATE 01)

    GROWING ============ GRW >> 9 Skill per level [added +1]

    PROCESSING Flowers, Herbs in the relevant tiered Greenhouse gathered from the wild by PICKING, or bought from Vendors. as Seedlings, with maybe common varieties available all year round from vendors below, and rare varieties only available at festivals or in the wild.

    This skill also includes the WATERING and FERTILISING [more to flesh out here] of seedlings and cuttings [taken from the wild or other players selling already grown or picked varieties on connies - SEE MORE BELOW]

    WATERING -[TOOL - watering can] -- This would be one of the real-time aspects to this school .. you will need to regularly WATER your growing seeds and cuttings in the greenhouse, or in your flowerbeds .. this would be determined with a timer set at planting, giving a range where the item must be watered, or it dies after a pre-determined time of no watering etc ..

    Once an item is full-grown, watering need only be very occassionally in the greenhouse, or after planting in a flowerbed, a water sprinkler system could be purchased from a friendly Tinker, and added to any flowerbed.

    After purchase of a relevant tiered system [placement determined by GROWING Skill], or creation by a Tinker, you would give it to your flowerbed and some sprinkler nozzles would appear in suitable places on your flowerbed, depending on the bed shape.

    -- built by TINKERS .. where you just need to make sure the water supply tank is kept filled. The better the system, the larger the water tank, the less need to fill so often etc., the longer can be left without attention.

    This system would be for FLOWERBEDS only .. for the watering required in the greenhouse, daily/weekly/monthly attention with a watering can would be needed.

    FERTILISING - [TOOL - Fertiliser Mixing Stick] -- you will be able to make your own FERTILISER using items already in game like vegetables or herbs .. maybe other items dropped by animals [../grin] ..

    Like the GREENHOUSE, a new window would open where a combined item list added to the storage structure, similar system to the DRAGON'S HOARD could be used where you add varying tiered items of pre-determined compostability, which would over time combine into a Fertiliser ..

    6 TIERS of FERTILISER, depending on Gardener and Growing skill and items used .. for application as a single item to a number of relevant tiered flower, herb or bush, depending on bulk or some form of size determined for however many uses, like charges on Tarbash's sack and such items .. any fertiliser could be used on a lower tier .. similar system to food used after deathpoints .. and would have varying degrees of effectiveness, like the tiered food etc.

    Fertilising your items will shorten the time they need to grow, like deathpoints in reverse, the more fertilising you do, the faster the growth up to a limit etc .. like food usage, you can only use say once every day on any item by having the fertiliser in your inventory and using a set amount for as many items as the bulk of fertiliser will allow, depending on tier, skill and fertiliser quality.

    Unfortunately the Unreal engine won't add the capability to grow resources on plots. That would require changes to the server. Its a good suggestion and one that the team long ago considered (back in 2006 when we were planning an expansion), but there is no current plan for it to be added.

    What I meant was, I'm sure you have no time for anything NEW to be put on the 'TO DO' List prior to getting the UnReal engine onto the coding … NOT that the engine would give more options for timers .. even with my basic knowledge with graphic designs I do, I know the difference between artwork programming / file usage and the coding for timers using the MACRO commands and field variables already ingame ..
