Ice elementals?

Around 257/285 exist "Ice Elementals"

I've never heard of those in 5 years until now...so my question:

Are Ice Elementals used in ANY quest? At all?

They don't seem to drop trophies, nor components.

Pretty sure I've done a quest to kill some of those.

I think I did too, a long time ago. Maybe it's not an active quest anymore? I really can't remember.

Another I asked had the same answer - that they were in A quest but they too could not think of what the quest was.

I'm thinking that it must be a biped exclusive quest - there isn't a single not biped exclusive that i haven't completed at least once, unless the NPC is nowhere near any settlement at all (and even then I don't think there's any inch of istaria that i haven't been to). And if any dragon were ever able to complete it, i'd bet it's no longer available.

There are some Town Marshals that ask you to go kill X number, of ABC critters and you will see a counter in the quest Q 0/20 or such.
As you kill them the counter go's "1/20" "2/20" "3/20" and so on till you get to 20/20.
There are no items required.

So..there's a town marshall quest for them?

I don't think there is a current one, but if there is it would be given out at Aug or the Gnome outpost

They're not used in any quest and just drop junk loot. I'm a bit curious as to why they're in the game myself
