reduce the tool requirement with 25

can the requirement for tools be 25 lower.
This because ad the moment lets say a iron smithing hammer runs till 450, the steel smithing hammer starts ad 400. Which means that in the range 450 to 475 the equipping of the steel smithing hammer for working ad an expert anvil has to be done ad the expert anvil, because else the level is to low.

You should be able to use any anvil at any level.

You should be able to use any hammer you can equip, at any anvil (or dragon forge).

You do not need an expert anvil to use a steel hammer.

I would recommend that within a level or 2 of being able to equip a tool, to upgrade to it.

All true but only the last recommendation has to do with why I'm asking this.

Suppose you have a skill level of 380. this mains that you can equip a steel hammer. then you go to work on a expert anvil. you skill would come out as 455. the get this you need to use a steel hammer as the iron one is limited to 450.

These are pretty rare situations.

In that situation, open the formula at the machine, you will get the skill boost from the machine, then you can equip the steel hammer, and get 5 extra skill.

That 5 extra skill, in your example, doesn't really help you, since there are no formulas that you can become "optimal" at with 455 skill Now once you are at say 470, the situation could still be present, but 20 extra skill might be all you need to hit optimal on something. Just open formula first at the machine before equipping the tool.

Or just lower the requirement 25 and then wouldnt need to carry around 2 hammers. Dang i carry like 30 some tools now don't really need to be carrying more for oddball reasons.
