transport error - error id 57

trying to login, but only getting this error-message sgsin, saying that the auth server and the account database have problems to communicate.

anyone else has this problem right now?

There was some story going around that Luca sometimes had problems logging into the forums. Luca was all too happy to tell me that he suffers from this strange problem and that was why he rarely posted, however when I asked him for info such as error messages or anything else that could be of use to help find the root of the problem, he stopped responding and hasn't said a word to me since.

That aside, according to Luca's forum profile, he checks the forums daily which is the important thing [:)]

Bleh... and transport error again. Was just ingame with a char and wanted to log in with an alt and now no chance to get in again. Transport Error 57 again.
Already cleared world cache and IE cache.
What's happening here? [*-)]

to all of you who share the same problem logging in, please file a ticket with support! the more login problem tickets they get the more likely it is to raise an alarm at GN's office ! :-)

ah and dont forget to close the case once the problem is solved if the support had not yet been able to review your case. if they have you will be npoticed and the case will be closed by them :-)

You are right kitty, but the posts (see their date) were about unexpected (and unexplained) prolongued server downtimes yesterday and the day before that.[;)]

luca and his people are working on it they got the needed files from tulga at last but they seem not to work so far the server has errored three times allready on reboot, luca said they would try it one last time and then roll back to the time they took the server offline for maintainance if it still doesnt work, lets see if they get it going keep fingers crossed :)
