Mickey mouse crap...

Greetings Istarians,
Most know me as a generally reasonable person, but today I must digress...

What is going on with this mickey mouse crap I'm playing right now? I have a game that crashes constantly, takes forever to load, and is generally becoming more annoying than is worthwhile. I'm not a programmer at all, but I am a PAYING customer, and I'm starting to wonder whether or not my dollor votes would be better off spent elsewhere...

Fix this junk or loose my business! That's about all there is to say about that.

Crashes, loading times, freezes (thats !"§$%& me most of all), spinning-
that remebers me to the times, when I started to play HZ.

Let us give them some time to fix all that.
But it has to be fixed.

I'm trying to find someone that can reproduce these crashes I keep hearing about.

No, seriously.

I've been able to crash my client once and have not been able to reproduce a crash. Obviously, there is a problem, but having a client that's behaving isn't helping at all.

Would it be possible for the XP users to use the old client?

It's that simple to reproduce.

while porting sometimes produces crash.

leaving a "zone" causes freezes (eg on the way to augh player conni, in the Laby at the murk crab pond, and in all major cities). And yes- map is closed.

One bright spot is that since switching to using my Vista OS back in april as the first compatible client was being tested, It's been much more stable for me. It still can crash on ocassion, but it is not as often. I now use vista 64bit and run 2 instances of the game on my main pc. My second pc which is still XP I do not need to use, therefore I usually don't unless triple boxing.

I hope they can get the xp issues figured out. But the vista compatibility has been much appreciated.

I've seen an increase in crashing to desktop since the Vista fix went live and also have much worse lag, especially in cities. Feladan, for example, it can take me 3 minutes to get from the gates to the essence channeller with running a couple of steps then freezing for anywhere up to 30 secs.

I only upgraded to XP about 6 months ago and there's now way I could afford Vista (even if I wanted that thing near my beloved computer). Never had much crashing before the Vista fix
