Here we go again!
If you haven't disabled the Java plugin in your browser (and some email clients), this is a good time to do it, before you get hit with something nasty like ransomware.

If you're still running an older version of Java and don't have the master kill switch described in the link above, upgrade first.
Note that disabling the java plugin is different from disabling java. The launcher should still work.

Make that a qualified thanks... Since upgrading, I seem laggier and have dropped more often. Don't know why Java would affect gameplay and since virus scans only turn up normal cookies, I don't know what may be causing it.
*grumps and gripes and blows nose, less patient than usual when sick with cold*
Still using the old launcher, which for me and my friend is the only way to be able to play. The Java thing always worked very slow, very bad.
