Istaria on multi GPU machine
Hi all :)
I've got a Surface Book 2 with an on-board Intel GPU and an NVidia GPU, but I cannot get Istaria to use the NVidia GPU. Has anyone else had issues with multi GPUs on a machine? Windows 10, latest updates applied.
I've tried:
1. Latest NVidia drivers
2. Setting Nvidia control panel App to high performance
3. Setting the Graphic Performance Preference to use "High Performance" and made sure my GPU was connected to the High Performance profile
Is there any other in-game configuration or startup command that can be used? Anyone else had this issue with multiple GPUs?
Thanks!
SP

might get a faster response asking in the discord channel or opening up a support ticket.
Re: Istaria on multi GPU machine
Not 100% but from what i seem to remember on this topic it was deemed that at the moment Istaria uses the CPU not a GPU.
This will change when the Unreal engine update hits but for now there is no real point to having mass GPU.
Again, i may be wrong as it's not been a topic for quite a while.

Ah great thanks Sindala (and Cauri :)
@Sindala what timeframe for the Unreal engine update? Next year? Earlier?

Unknown, the devs have never given a timeframe and there's only been very, very sporadic (read: months or years between, since the initial announcement was in 2016) info drops.
Re: Istaria on multi GPU machine
yes Istaria Devs are all volunteers that work on Istaria in their spare time.
Putting in a new game engine would be a massive undertaking for any company so it's best not to put a time frame on it.
Just know it's happening and will be an awesome surprise when it hits ;)
