Deadly VS Battle Forge Experiment!
Today i was experimenting with my two claws, one was with battle forge and one was with deadly tech; to see which tech was better damage wise with Gold Rage, cause there are alot of opinions of which is better and i just wanted to find out which is better and be done with it..
----
Killing: Travertine Golems (whole time)
Buffs: same whole time
Claws: socketed but with no crystals inside the whole time
Scales: same whole time
Gold Rage: all three hits hit
Results for Gold Rage Damages:
Deadly: 3049 2208 2810 2759 3144 3239 3018 3076
Battle Forged: 2794 2993 2809 2946 2533 2842 3002 2573
Results Average damage:
Deadly: 2912.875
Battle Forged: 2811.5
---
Deadly has a greater average by 101 which isn't much of a difference but every bit counts. Plus if you notice Deadly's damage spreads out more then Battle Forged's cause once it did 2208 damage and then it did 3239 damage.
Re: Deadly VS Battle Forge Experiment!
Just curious - did you have Primal Attack up for all tests?

Re: Deadly VS Battle Forge Experiment!
Deadly only affect the Ravage ability per the techs description, giving extra damage and accuracy (+40.5 damage, +50 attack skill).
Battle forged affects everything, +10 damage delay adjusted, or +27 for a crafted claw. The +50 tooth&claw also adds some damage and accuracy to all attacks, but less accuracy than the +50 Deadly has.
So, you would want to list all results, including misses, to accurately gauge the damage average over time. You might want to even try to always attack the same level mob, or better yet, use a biped in the arena who will have a static amount of armor, evasion, etc. And get say 20 attacks (60 potential hits) and fully list it out including misses.
If I had to guess, the damage difference will be 50-ish. At one time I had estimated the added damage and accuracy of 50t&c to 16.7 damage, 16.7 accuracy (attack skill), so that plus the +27 is about +45 damage per hit for Battle Forged.
Do another controlled test where yours and the targets stats are consistent.
Then, do a second test with the Ravage ability only. Get say 10 hits with each clawtech on, and report those results.

Good idea Guaran, i will try to find someone to help with the tests or use my alt dragon for them.
