marbled is getting close to 100M hoard and so long past the 25M. That you get from a biped main. My question is what is the absolute max hoard.
So what is the value where the max is set or the value where suddenly you get 0 or negative hoard.

I'm over 500M hoard and have heard from people having 1B hoard. So far I would think the hoard is saved as 32 bit integer, thus going to either 4,294,967,296 or +-2,147,483,648
Pharaxes is mostly correct. The game stores it as a 32 bit integer, specifically one that can be positive or negative - hoard is essentially just another 'stat' behind the scenes, just like death points, your fly height, the more well-known skills and statistics, and so on.
However, the game is aware of this overflow issue and caps you if you get too much of a statistic. You are capped to a flat 2 billion. I'm not sure if the error message when exceeding 2 billion is dev-only, but when I was testing it it reads:
"The stat hoard is being set to -2019818793. This is very close to the maximum limit of any stat, so capping to 2 billion."
Not sure why it's read as negative, but there you go. You've a long way to go before hitting that. :P
My adult dragon usually hovers around 100K hoard (on a good day), so I won't be hitting that cap anytime soon :)
