simple snowballs work..
Lov, we've been unable to reproduce this on our internal server and on blight. Are you using the blight client to login to chaos/order?
No Amon I do not.
Checked again- snowballs are ok- the packed ones too. we had a lot of lag during the party..maybe that was a reason..
But neither Lov nor Luna got any effect from casting boom or using fireworks today.

That is odd, Lov. We've been unable to reproduce this using different clients. Maybe clear your world cache and run a full scan?
