Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
I've just finished making my first ever cloth tent. My current Weaver skill is 100 and I noticed that when applying Flax Construction Bolts I required 3x the number required to make the tent. That is, a tent needs 25 Bolts but my skill level meant I had to actually make and apply 75 Bolts (3:1 ratio). At what skill level will the ratio drop to 2:1? Is it 150?
Re: Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
when you reach or exceed the optimal thats listed on your plot, I believe it would be 200.
Re: Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
you require that much because it doesn't tell you its in "Units" your skill defines what the ratio for meterial you need to make a "unit" I am a lvl 30 Fitter (with 51 blacksmith that has helped greatly) and I have a ratio of 2:1 for putting in Iron Construction sheets. So 2 Iron Sheets = 1 unit for me.

Bang on, Seranthor. I reached 200 Mason last night and the ratio changed to 2:1. Which means I won't see 1:1 until I hit 300 skill.
Re: Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
you will never see 1:1 [:(] 'tis how construction works. 2:1 is currently the most efficient ratio.
Re: Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
1:1 placement is for Novian resources.
Re: Effect of skill level in applying construction materials
hehe 1:1, I'm sry but that kinda makes me giggle [:D], would be no point if you got to make 1 item, #1 no challenge (if it was in the first place) and #2 there would be no need of saying "units" it would just require the one and people would get it in like 2 hauls. (I had a much better concept in my head but when I started typing I went uuuuhhh... what wasI going to say, so thats as best as I can remeber it)
