Talk to the Team: Guardian
One of the things I've been looking at is the plethora of HoTs available throughout the game. It seems excessive in many cases, particularly for Guardian when you already have HoTs from Druid. So, I had a thought of maybe trying to convert at least one into something different. Looking for feedback.
The ability in question is Morning Dew. What I would do is:
- Turn into an Aura with a buff that lasts 30 minutes
- The buff would tick every 30 seconds
- On each tick, within a 10 meter range, it would dispel beneficial buffs on enemy targets
- There would be three:
- Level 24 - Masterable
- Level 54 - Not-Masterable
- Level 84 - Not-Masterable
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
only question is whats the difference between the different levels? also how about removes debuffs from the caster also?
but i like the idea.
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
Would it keep or lose the magic evasion?
If it was an Aura with magic evasion boost for the group, that could be pretty nice.

Good point I was just assuming it would...

Maybe a higher chance with each level (like the cleanse techs)? or quicker ticks?
Only other possible thing I see would be increasing the range, and seeing as you might pull mobs that way that seems like a bad idea. :P
That being said, would having this on have mobs aggroing on you if you get too close and it happens to tick off a buff?

Yeah pretty much what i meant.. An area effect cleanse it wouldn't even need to be a higher chance per tier.. perhaps say flat 40% remove
1 buff tier 1
2 buffs teir 2 etc
Alternatively perhaps provides a tick chance to remove poison? or provides the caster with immunity. tier dependent?
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
Sounds like it would work like Dispel V and remove benificial effects on the enemy and perhaps give us magic evasion. I like the idea, I'm assuming the
24 is 1 chance
54 is 2 chances
84 is 3 chances
Is there a ped buff that works like Snarl V? Enemy chance to hit reduced by -85%? That would be a good thing for a short 20 sec timer.

Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
When i think of a guardian i think of someone who protect.
So the guardian should be able to use a bit more healing spells.
Also some more melee attack (multistike maybe)
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
Guardian is actually Guardian of nature not guardian of people so that is not he same as healing and they guard pretty well.
More healing spells.... have you seen how many HoT's they have?
they get both revitalises, XGenerate health, Growth, Regrowth, Fungal Regeneration, Morning dew and i probably missed one somewhere
More melee attacks?
They get smash, stone hammer, and quake all rather nice abilities, Plus on top of that all the mastered abilities from warrior.
To top that off they also get to use all mystic spells (nature, Blight, Spirit). In short guardians are already pretty beefy.
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
They can use spirit and blight spells yes, but you need another class behind to be able to cast :)
I have a guardian and i never use the nature spells as it hit with low dps compared to my shaman. 7 in nature skill is quite low if you ask me. So 8 would be good.
Also, it would be good if they could use group health.
Just my thoughts and opinion ;)

Sadly Group health along with minor health, health, and major health are for the true healers and mystic mage classes only. I would love the same for paladin but Guardians, Paladins and Reavers are considered warriors I guess, so its out of our reach. You want healing and melee ability cleric is the way to go.
Re: Talk to the Team: Guardian
As Guardian i think would be good to see something to guard the group manbers the aura could be something like this
-heals the guardian over time
-gives evasion to the group
-by chance intercept attacks that goes onto effected group members
the chance to remove benefit from enemy i think would better fit for a shaman aura.
