You're wary, tired of fighting the blighted forces. With them lately beating down harder and harder it's hardly to take a breath of rest. You skim the bulletin board, hoping that for once, there is nothing going on, you see that the Bulletin board has many posters of the same thing:

Hello and welcome to Istara's Chosen's second annual Halloween Event! Many of you were came last year and we had a blast! We are of course returning to do another event, however there are a few things we should note.

• This event is entirely in character! We ask that you keep out of character chatter to a minimum in the chat we are using, if you must, please use a tell or a chat not associating with our event.
• We are doing this for pure fun and wish that no one has a bad time. So please, use common courtesy!
• Foreign monsters will be spawned during this event, so be prepared...

( For the sake of transparency, I want to add onto this thread that I will gladly assist any player-run event that I can if I'm around for it. One of the hosts of this event came forward and asked me outright if I could assist. :) My assistance, of course, does not mean this event is official to the lore or is a representation of VI by any means.

The event is taking place on the Order shard. I didn't mention it because it's in the Order board. ^^

Yes, um.... I didn't see it there so I did a search and when I found thread never looked at where thread is. Feeling embarrassed.

It was a very well-attended event, where Aurelea presented recently uncovered documentation containing a series of riddles. As a group, we solved the riddles and collected items necessary for further research on the old wisdom. Apparently in the process, some shadow-bending took place; we were in the midst of a celebratory picnic when a ghostly dragon showed up to berate us for our actions.

Seliena and Shadow Dragon both showed up, escorted by a pack of blight hounds. I do not know if Seliena and Shadow Dragon would have been to involved with one another to bother us if they did not materialize right in our midst, but when they started attacking the Gifted around them, we immediately rallied and destroyed all of the blighted creatures. Afterward, the ghostly dragon again chided Aurelea, leaving us all wondering just what the organizer of our efforts was up to...

Yes, thank you Istaria's Chosen. We were resting and enjoying some treats and discussing what might be made of the objects we had collected when the foul blight rain burst on us. I saw a few blight hounds, dropped the pie I was eating and before I could cast a spell I fell senseless to the ground. Fortunately, a minute later I got a rez and joined in the fight with all my shaman skills. After a lengthy battle we sent those shadow demons back to whence they came. We never learned exactly what triggered the breach into our world. It is possible Aurelea knows more than she reveals.

After defeating the Blight Hounds summoned by the mysterious ghost, the Gifted move onto Shadow Dragon and Seliena The Brilliant, who were long from their lands...

It seemed as if Shadow Dragon, after watching his partner in crime being taken down with little effort, wanted nothing more than to escape.

That thought was quickly squandered as he, too, was taken down with ease.

The mysterious ghost was flabberghasted by how easily its minions were taken down, and spewed the ramblings of a madman... or were they really something important? Aurelia was questioned about the ghost, but seemed to not have any answers.
