This thread will be for song or poem content generated in the course of RP throughout Istaria on Order. Please feel free to submit your own as the muse takes you.

This was written by Stratus and sung to his Sebea whom he ascended with on the peak of storms. He had set up an apparatus which re-cast Tempest many times over an entire week around the peak resulting in a massively wild hurricane with its eye centered above the peak at the time of his ascent. He had timed the peak of the storm to be around the time the moon would fill the hurricane's eye on the top of the celestial sphere and Drulkar's constellation would be watching from above. He had discovered that by changing the length and frequency of primal lightning, you could change the sounds it made and used that knowledge to its full effect becoming, essentially, a gigantic dragon plasma speaker. The storage crystals driving the apparatus has been removed so the peak of storms has been returned to normal, for now. The cadence is set to the rhythm of Hans Zimmer's Davy Jones theme.

Song of Storm's Ascension

*Multiple waves of lightning stream forth from Stratus' digits into the cloud base just above him over the peak of storms.. his voice is carried in its undulations, every octave range is present and so are the sounds of many biped instruments. The storm orchestra had begun.*

I did sleep some thousand years,
losing all that I hold dear.

Never waking, only dreaming.
Thoughts of you were fleeting.

Long in slumber did I... lie,

Into, this Maelstrom's maw we rise.

Glimmers in eternities eyes,
in a world where no one dies.

Endless sleep is now the curse,
one which hounded me since birth.

But when I woke, I saw the light.
Your presence induced my heart to flight.

Our Vortex rises across the world.
Our rage against Aegis is unfurled.

They shall find no place to hide,
for the air, our commands, abide.

What souls Drulkar forged, let none sunder.
Repeat not Alyssa and Nyrevin's blunder.

Our love is a light that cannot be smote,
We'll put out every hate filled mote.

Passion is the fire that eternal burns,
A fire for which, this hate-filled world yearns.

*The voices change to all those who helped them ascend, and all those present for their ascension singing as a cacophonous choir, perfected even if they could not sing themselves.*

We rise hefted on many wings,
by those who did great things.

Their stories written upon our hearts,
So many striving to play their parts.

The power and primal which is our drive,
shall keep us both alive.

We shall birth our own dragon hive,
our species we shall help thrive.

Now let our love's lightning cross the skies,
branded on all voyeur's eyes.

Our voices taken to ends of earth on thunder,
leave the Naka Duskael in wonder.

For what grand thing has this day brought,
that the sky gives up, in rhyme, its thoughts?

Soon will come the break of day,
let us in this darkness play.

Let not Drulkar regret this day,
we made our right of way!

ooc: This one came to me by a very odd source. It came to me in a dream. It was from the perspective of Stratus and he and Shinnara and a party of others had been driven to a cemetery of Chiconis' pre-gift fallen which was under attack by the fallen Aegis. The problem was the dead there also believed this party to be attackers/intruders. Before I woke up, Stratus was trying to sing them back to sleep with a lulla-bye style hymn to return the grounds to peace. I actually remembered the title and the first 4 stanzas when I woke up. Considering adding more to it. So.. here's the contents of what I believe may be my first creative dream that I've successfully remembered:

Honored dead of Chiconis,
why disturbed are thee?

The darkness closes round you,
We're here to protect ye.

Return to the comfort of your coffins,
catacombs, and graves.

This group will not harm you,
it protects and saves..

From Shiney to Treasure:
When I first met thee,
Thou tried to hoard me.
Little did I know ye would succeed.

You thought me shiny,
and I was tiny,
but you saught me all the same with glee.

At first I hadn't thought,
that my heart which you saught,
would not from you flee.

No seriously, I at first thought you crazy.

But now I am thine,
and thine are mine,
My heart, for your heart, has need.

As we grow throughout the years,
facing all our hopes and fears,
I pledge never to leave thy side.

For my dreams are filled with you
your presence my soul renews,
parting from you I could never abide.

In the course of time,
like this rambling rhyme,
We shall grow old and weary.

But I look foreward to those days,
with nary a hint of dismay,
For so long as you are there, I'll be cheery.

So let us rise into the sky,
kiss this bridge beneath us good bye.
And in it shall we play.

For the future waits for no dragon,
our friends want time to drink their wine flagons,
and in the storms our future lay.
