What is the purpose of those? Can you use them in place for normal hide strips?
Tried to find some information how these fungal strips work but nobody could tell me something about it.
When you can't use these in place for normal hide strips - why not invent a transmutation form to convert them to normal hide strips.
I believe originally they were going to be the basis of tiered hide/leather armor, but then the devs went with different tannins for each tier instead. Folks used to use them for leveling on because processing mushroom caps gave good experience, so the devs did not take them out. I really, really like your suggestion for a transmutation of them.
Once one could use them instead of leather strips. A kind of vegetarian leather, I liked that :) Think that was before the tiered mushroom came in game.
