The Horizons.exe.local folder and copy of msvcrt.dll I copied are not being deleted by the patcher. On a whim I tried copying ntdll.dll into the same spots to see what would happen. Game still...

it crashes whether I use the website or the launcher right after the silentpatcher.exe hands off to horizons.exe

Yeah UAC is turned off.
website trusted and security settings set to low.
DEP is turned off.

Have tried setting Compatibility to windows xp and 2000.
Have set horizons.exe to run as an Admin....

I was able to get it to patch.
Had to add horizons.istaria.com to trusted sites,
then drop security settings for trusted sites to low.
thus it allowed me to install all the necessary activex to...
