    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Well, if they didn't charge money, the game wouldn't be running. Pretty simple really. xP

Sorry the game didn't pull you in enough to pay for it. Good luck wherever you move onto afterwards.

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Exrage, I apologize, but many of your arguments are based on your personal opinions rather than actual lore, so it's very difficult to actually continue this discussion in a constructive way when all...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

I'm not sure exactly what you're saying here. The example I gave was a dev explanation, not a player one. With some thought, there is generally a plausible explanation in RP for any change, even if...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

When Spitfyre on Skalkaar talks about the 8 mages, he refers to the entire group as "meddlesome bipeds" and is pretty condescending about the Ritual, which makes it sound like it was purely a biped...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

And after they flew away, what then? The dragons can't fly forever, and they'd have to eat eventually. What would they eat if the Withered Aegis had choked all the rest of the life out of Istaria? No...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Well...the alternative is "everyone dies, the end." x3 The point I was making by bringing up the Gift in the first place is that the Gift is the result of biped magics, not dragons', and that all the...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Are you sure about that? Looking at the timeline it just says that the force was "massive"; it doesn't specify that it was "the largest" up to that point. Also, just because it doesn't say that the...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

The bolded part simply is not what is in the lore as I understand it. The Battle of Tazoon was the largest battle I believe (that or the seige of Aughundell), not the assault on Chiconis. I would...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

If we're going to be totally ignoring the game mechanics, then I'm afraid I am going to have to discontinue my discussion on this point.

What have the dragons retaken that was lost? They...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

If I remember correctly, humans and dragons actually didn't have much of a "war." The dragons were too busy arguing amongst themselves to deal with it, and this "war" resulted in only one battle....

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Missing can be nullified with use of the Perfect Spell ability. Primal-specc'd Ancients are pretty underpowered too; they don't really compare with the sort of damage that biped spell casters can put...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

I think more than just you or me need to weigh in before anything is said about a "knowledgebase." I thought we were just discussing your RP ideas and how feasible they are in Istaria's lore. xD

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

I'm kind of starting to lose track of whether we are referring to dragons in the context of Istaria or just in general. xD

In Istaria though, saying that it "always takes multiple of any other...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

I think what you're defining as "dragon" is actually a western dragon. Which is just one type out of many. An eastern dragon is still a dragon, yet has no wings at all and I don't believe they have...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Well, if I may be permitted to split a few more hairs :P, the word "dragon" applies to a ton of creatures that do not meet your requirements. Things like Eastern dragons, wyverns, lindworms......

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

No, I get that. What I was trying to get at is that there are so many variations on what "dragons" can look like, while still maintaining all the useful qualities of that form. A creature can have...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

An elemental could just as easily take a form that has all the advantageous aspects of a dragon yet looks nothing like one. The only reason I can think of that one might deliberately choose to look...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Depends really on whether you are asking for what the reactions of player dragons would be or what the reactions of lore dragons would be. Because there is nothing but fire dragons in Istaria's lore,...

    Re: Dragons: A theorem

Using it as a sort of "religion" actually sounds fairly original to me. I imagine that most dragons wouldn't take too kindly to it though, as many are very proud of their connection to Drulkar and...
