Crystal Shaping Machines

I see the crystal shaping machines in Dralk and Chiconis, but when I go to shape crystals on them with the raw materials (with the crystal shaping ability active), it doesn't seem to recognize the machine (the machine name stays red in the create window and I can't make the crystals).

Is there something I am missing?
