    Default Labels with a meaning

As the expert labels can now be proudly displayed why in the world not give them a function as well why cant they give bonuses to the school they show it would be the right thing to do :)

But by the time you earn the expert emblem, do you really need any skill bonus? Of course when it comes to trying to work on t6, every little bit would help.

Only thing is, how do you decide which skills get a bonus and how much?

I would guess double or triple all the skills a school gains in a single level. So a fletcher one would be +30 Fletching +27 Woodworking (I think) plus the logging and lumbering skills as well. But that is starting to sound like cogs.

To make it REALLY USEFUL, and beneficial to get a craft school to 100, would be for the emblem to grant +200 skill to the primary skills, since there is a +200 point spread from Tier 5 to tier 6. I know for miners, the +200 smelting, stoneworking would be appreciated.

Expert Emblems were added so you could display your professions to others, basically advertising. They were never intended to carry bonuses.

What about making it so when you equip an expert emblem you automatically switch to that school?

(the above is yet another idea Van threw out there one day :) )

Lots of ways to abuse that.

You could give them some sort of generally useful bonus, like a plus to speed or carrying capacity. The Gifted emblem has stat bonuses...

Ooo, a speed bonus that stacks with cargo disk like road bonus! That would rock even if it was just 5-10 speed. :D

The emblem slot was specifically made so you could change your title. No emblem should ever give any sort of gameplay modification.

Just because they don't give bonuses at this time doesn't mean they won't someday. [;)]

For the rare individual that has actually completed all the craft schools currently ie 1900 craft levels maybe they could turn them in for a "expert craftsman"/ "expert craftswoman" token ? would be nice too :)
