Default Best spot for lvl 63 crafting dragon!

    Greetings!

I’ve recently returned to the game and feeling very rusty with all the changes that seem to have gone on. Where is the best place for a lvl 60 to 75 Dragon crafting grind spot now? Have there been any major changes in the way dragon crafters grind compared to the early day of Horizons? Is it still best to try make the scales that's closest to your lvl?

where do I find tech's to the new dragon claw armor ? Last but where's the best place to go browse lairs for sale?

    Thx a lot

The mechanics of experience point gain have not changed in old craft schools. Dragon lairshaper however uses the primary skill system.

For tier IV work, Char is a good place. It has obsidian, platinum and gems, plus crystals for lairshaping work. For bright essence, you need to go to Feladan. Cobalt (and nickel for the bars) can be found in the southwest corner of Kirasanct region.

If you need to finish up some tier III work, Aughundell mines has nickel and iron for steel bars and gems. Mahagra has granite, gold, gems and glowing wisps.

In all cases, anvils will double as scale forges these days. Not all abovementioned resource fields have machinery handy unless some player has built some on their plot nearby.

The forms for dragon claws should be for sale at the trainers. Techniques are, like in the old days, disperesed across various quartermasters (who all are still in their old spots). At the moment, the best method to browse for free lairs is to fly to the relevant community (some are very small) and open the plot survey window for overview of free/owned biped plots and dragon lairs. Dozens of new lair communities were added so your best guide to their locations is this map.

Use the Valley of Repose granite, unless you have enough adventure levels to beat off golems. In your low 70s head over to Dralk and use the obsidian there.
