cannot create toon - patcher loads, then suddenly quits
I logged an offical ticket a week ago, but no response yet, so I'm coming here. I see a few other people have this same problem - I downloaded the trial, installed the game, and when I go to load it the patcher goes through its process, then the Horizons logo appears and loads sound, graphics, etc. but when it's done the box disappears and the game itself never shows up. Just goes back to the internet page.
I am having the same problem. I can only log into one of my toons.....

I know the ball has not been dropped on this. I've checked into it. It's a matter of having the right people in the office at the right time.

yes got SP2 installed and the firewall it comes with disabled.

it's a Santa Cruz soundcard. I saw the post too where a guy had to download the newest drivers and then the game worked. My card is from 2001, and the newest drivers i could find were from june 2003. I'm using those drivers already though.

have somewhat the same problem, i do have sound and some graphics, but games freeze everytime it's retreiving charater essens, Sometimes i only see a black screen with background music, but it's rarely
i don't know if i ever sent 'reyem' anything. 2-3 weeks ago I filled out some offical ticket at a site and attached all the data, but I never got a reply about it.
One important question - are you trying to play on the NA or EU shards? (NA has a brown login page, EU has a blue)
