*grins* Good, you made your character that's the important part and the screens DO look exactly the same - I'll make a suggestion about that.
To play on different "shards" means different "computers". In this case there are three:
Blight - where all of the testing for the game occurs
Order - where special rules for role playing are in place
Chaos - standard game rules
So, when you "choose a shard", you're choosing the game experience you wish to have: advanced content but buggy, restricted by role play rules but more true to the "rpg experience", or an open game society.
