I remember my first newbie day... It was way back in Beta. I created a dragon and never looked back.

I remember falling in with a pack of other dragon younglings and forming Erus Ex Istaria with them.

I remember dying against a named pig with them at least 18 times (each) before we finally took it down. And laughing so hard I could not breath.

I remember working through a buggy quest to become an adult and the pride of finally making it.

I remember the elation of soaring through the Istarian skys for the first time.

I remember collecting bottlecaps of all sorts.

I remember saving the Saytrs and freeing the Dryads.

Those were many good times but then it started getting darker.

I remember when worlds collided and Dawn was no more.

I remember the game engine being slow and lagging.

I remember events coming less and less.

I remember less quests and more grinding as I got older.

And finally I remember the day the Dragon known as Paganstar slipped quietly into a cave to sleep a long deep sleep. In hopes that the world would one day become a better place.
I remember him stirring a time or two, poking his head out from the cave to see if that time had come... it had not. And so back to his slumber he returned where he slumbers still. One day he might awaken but the world will have to change a great deal to break that sleep I think.

Remember the obsidian field on the island east of Morning Light, so far from Chiconis. hehe
Remember when the world only contained 20 gates.
Remember when we had to walk everywhere and learn stealth to survive?
Remember Istarians working together to free the Satys islands, Feladan, building the Novo Machine, the rainbow bridge and freeing the Dryards, among other things.

I remember all the fun too and hope for a lot more.

Remember when you went all the way up to the top of the ice tower and if you were a gnome, you couldn't see over the wall because they hadn't put any stone blocks or anything else to stand on so the only thing you could do was try to jump up to the top of the wall and look out... and then enjoy the view on your way down, but there wasn't any weather there yet, so at least you could see?

Remember when the greatest battle happened. The last day the last hour of the last Beta when the horde attacked everywhere and all heros banded together in their chosen town to fight them back. This signalled the end of the Dreaming Time and the beginning of the Waking World.
