Moderated Posts Issue

Hi can someone answer why? When I make a reply to a post or a new post it first has to be read by a moderator then sent to me by email to say the post was ok and allowed... Its really stupid Idea or i got a setting somewere wrong ??

There is an issue with the account createtion part of the forums. Some account get put automaticly on Moderation, Once I see the account I try to unmoderate the account.

i get that the forum is moderated, is that the same issue or rant protection?
