Now, an explanation.

I'd like to get a better idea of what the community is like these days. I know, you're probably thinking: "Well, duh, SC, can't you see that the forum is dead and Marketplace has only x users at peak?". I can, but that's not the whole picture. It doesn't include the people who can't register, or the ones who play invisible and avoid Marketplace.

I don't think I'll reach everybody this way either, however, it should give me (and everyone who sees the summary when I'm done) a better idea of what's going on. At the very least, I'll have an idea of how many people can be reached in this manner.

So, take the poll, spread the word in-game and in-guild, and we'll see what the results look like in 2 weeks!

The poll has been open for 14 hours and I have about 75 responses and 115 unique IPs viewed it. This is really interesting to say the least. Thank you again to everyone who participated.

Thirteen days left! Keep spreading the word -- I'd like to get as much of the in-game players as possible, as well as those who don't play anymore. The sample must go outside of the group of people who have an account on this forum.

The second day isn't over yet, but there are some interesting results. I have received numerous and lengthly comments (which is very good). I have been given permission to share some of them, however I need to sit down and figure out how to go about doing it.

Keep spreading the word! Especially in-game and in-guild. I'd like to get responses from as wide a portion of the community as possible. This includes former players, current players, new players, prospective players, forum users as well as non-users.

Meanwhile, I'll share the tallies so far.

Thanks again to everyone who has replied so far. I've received hits from 263 unique IPs and 188 responses. I know for a fact that a few of those are duplicates, so don't worry, I'm aware of it.

In the mean time, I was given permission to post some comments that were not in the first digest. I'll include those in the second one on Sunday. I haven't forgotten.
