LUNUS breath III & ligthning quest

I went to Valkoth and got both quest at the same time and not sure if they were given info in the proper sequence.

Anyway, the fact that you have to gather material around mobs 20-30 level above you was challenging but feasable. The second part about the splinter's, killing mob's 30 level above you for a game that is basically "solo adventuring" is out to the looney bin. As such I say the quest is bugged , or at least unbalanced ... asking a L50 dragon to kill mobs L65-92 is non-sense.

If it wasn't of someone telling me that I needed to speak to Toreabel for the bar reciepy, I would never have been able to make them. Somewher in the text Valkoth or Kelakhan should send you to see the master in Kiransac first.

I think those splinters drop off of the 40-50s in Northern Blight?

They only drop off of the 60th to 80th level "Knight of Destruction" skeletons in Western Blight (trust me)

That does seem a bit steep. They don't drop often either do they?

I have heard it is a long few weeks of grinding... which is why I don't have these skills yet.

not really.... it was told to me that "Any" skeleton would drop the needed piece in Western Deadlands, but after killing countless numbers of skeletons with no luck, found that only the "Knights of Destruction" drop them.

With that knowledge, was able to get the pieces in less than an hour.

I tried WD and it was a nightmare, so tried Aughundell Battlefields and got both in around 90 mins. They drop from anything that is titled Mighty xxxxxx

They dropped for me pretty easily. I did WD and killed any Mighty _____ Skeleton. Since one skeleton can drop any kind of splinters, it was quite fast to get them for me. Only took 1 hour and I got 4 of one kind, 2 of another, and the energy splinter dropped last. I actually thought the quest was easy. Guess its just luck.
