This was the Worst (chmmm "sad" is better word for this I think) Dragon Death I ever seen in movies with Dragons ... (and in 3D ;-( )

This is a movie based off an ANCIENT epic poem of several hundred years (Beowulf). Nobody knows who wrote it, but it sure is epic! (Like the movie.)

Also I would like to point out that this "dragon" is more of a Wyvern, because its front appendages are wings and it lacks four legs plus wings. So it is not a true dragon.

Yes, this movie has gore. A LOT of gore. If your stomach is weak, avoid this movie. But otherwise, you would be silly to not see this movie.

On a side note... I was fortunate to have an awesome roomie who took me to see it in Imax 3D. Its an awesome movie. But the 3Dness I saw it in only added exponential awesomeness.

This is not my stomach , I prefer games , movies with gore ...
But Love Dragons and Dragons related creatures (like Wyvern)...
And this movie really hurt me ...
When Beowulf killed Wyvern , my heart almost stopped ...

Most people say to a creature what is big, has scales, can fly and maybe breath fire "dragon". They simply have no clue about the dragon races Through i will watch beowulf, want to see how's the drago animated and such. (and yes I instant cry wanterfalls everytime at the end of dragonheart ;_;, I even cried when the old dragonrider died in the eragon movie, no clue why lol)

But this was different ...
In Dragonheart , Dragon wanted to die to stop "bad guy" ...
And in Beowulf , Father (Beowulf) killed his Son (Wyvern) ...
This was Worst ...

I thought the dragon was the son Beowulf had with the 'demon'? She sent him after Beowulf to kill him--he even went back to his form after he died, and Beowulf looked regretful, too, as he realized what he'd done. So it was never really a dragon to begin with, probably something like a metaphor.
(I do need to read the tale myself :s)

meh I'd say dont bother to go see it cuz its just not really good...

Effects are nice - though that animation over live actors thing I think looks HORRID..

and as for the epic story - it...resembles the original....course I wasn't expecting it to do more than resemble

Not really BC, more like between the 8thand the 11th century, the only surviving manuscript dating to circa 1010.

Didn't like the movie myself... the 'dragon' was pretty impresive though, but it wasn't a true one so I didn't feel anything towards it.
