I have just re-read the "Truth" series by Dawn Cook and am also a Piers Anthony fan. I love his Incarnations of Immortality series, and also the "Battle Circle" trilogy (not well known!).

One of these days I'll read the Age of Fire set..

my all time fave author at the moment is Laurell K Hamilton..

yeah the battle circle was some of anthony's work - very excellent and the reason i always chose the 'lesser' weapons when i game -
the battle circle trilogy proves that not only can sticks and stones break your bones, but in the hands of a master, you will be dead before you know you are hit!!!

until things change, terry pratchett is my best and fave author of all time!
