i need some help lol, i want to become a graphic designer when i am able to get a career an i was wondering if anyone knew what things i should do to prepare for it?? ive tried something called blender but it kinda confused me and ive worked a lil with alice 2.0

also while im at it:
1. does anyone know if you can down load game videos from the game discs themselves??? like p2
2.how do you get wmv files?
3. how do you record a comp game on your computer??

I actually went to college to be a graphic artist. a few things that helped me out during that time was 1. I knew my way around a computer and 2. I love doing art work, before college i did alot of events and functions and during the time of putting them together i always got stuck with doing flyers, memos, post cards, or advertisment on a website.

a few suggestions is.....

try to decide what field in graphics you want to do (there's a wide range, for example do you want to do stuff like graphics for movies like shrek or make characters for games, or do you just like to color in a picture that's already been drawn. those are a few of about a 100 off shoots on graphic arts *it's not all about computers either*

a few programs that are good to learn and most schools use too are,,,
paint shop pro 8, Corel Draw (i have 11 but i know there is a newer version but i haven't had the extra money to buy it)

the best thing is take little steps and learn the basics before you jump into 3D rendering
