congrats, seems they added your subtle version into the game (currently in testing on blight, as i can read on the community page)

    good idea, they're beautiful

Drat, I like the non-subtle version better. Especially for radiants. But this is definitely better than nothing, so good going. Coloured wisps are a good thing. Has anyone checked if this change applies to the ground wispy noddie things too?

I agree with you gopher, the dayglo is my preference too, however, at least the default will get some colours now and most certaninly is another great decision by the Devs to incorporate ..great job ! .. and gratz Arie for starting it all off in the first place!

    thanks folks

no, the change almost certainly will not affect the ground nodes unless they've stealth changed something and not mentioned it (always possible). The colourations purely affected the floating wisps.

(the technical bit: - ground nodes only use ONE tint file across all tiers, the only way I was able to colour the wisps is that they use separate tint and shader files for each tier).

I like my dayglo ones too, but I can quite see why they'd prefer the subtle ones - they are more in keeping with the "feel" of Istaria. There's no reason why you can't continue to use the dayglo ones in your override directory anyway I'm amused by gopher saying he likes the dayglo one for radiants.. I am assuming you're making a subtle joke as that's the ONLY file I didn't change - the radiants already were a very bright white..

I was asked a couple of weeks ago about it, and could barely contain my glee at being asked! My husband had to check why I was bouncing up and down in my chair with a silly grin on my face

congrads, ari! to have your work integrated into a beloved game!
that's leaving a permanent mark on it. i hope one day to do something similiar for blight, if not istaria, someday, can't think of a more wonderful gift!

now I'm no longer using lotro-crafting, the files can be found:

no point in linking to the subtle ones, as they're in game already

I'm not sure the dayglo inventory is working any more. I'm pretty sure my inventory icons are a lot more subtle which is a bugger as I can't offhand remember how I changed the files. Must investigate further and see if the inventory icons have changed again.
