Can't play 2 clients at a time?

When I played on Unity I could play two characters, including trading resources and more.

Now on Chaos, if I start a second Horizons client (Win XP SP2), this client says "Horizons started succesfully" and nothing happens, I don't get 2 running Horizons.exe concurrent processes.

I have 1 grandfathered and 1 gifted subs, the log in screen says I can login 2 characters, have 2 plots and so on. Any hint?

Errmmm.... wasn't it always like that? I don't ever remember being able to start up two HZ's at once, except with this new blight client.

Suposedly they changed it so you could, but it really hogs system reasources.

The ability to run multiple clients has not been patched to live yet. Those who are using it on live currently have done so by patching with the blight client first, copying it, patching to live, then replacing the live client with the blight client.

Still in the testing phase, too. So, don't be surprised if you find some glitches toing it this way.

I don't like to mess with the client like that, I just started using 2 - 3 computers with a client each.

I'm using one live client and one blight client on my computer, both on Chaos. I'm launching via commandline to prevent any unwanted patching. It works pretty well, though the blight client tends to crash more while teleporting or recalling.
I would recommend using a dual core processor (or more cores if you plan to run more than 2 clients), since horizons .. eh Istaria like to eat all processor time of one core. And lots of ram of course, but that has been said

Just wondering if its still possible to run two clients at once on the same machine. Very much considering getting another monitor and an account ofcourse.

I've got an older box that can run istaria/horizons, but it'd need some computer wiz to get it going again, it crashes all the time, and i'd rather not have to get another desk for the keyboard and mouse.

Else, long shot, is there a way to hook up a keyboard and mouse (wireless or otherwise) to two different boxes?

Dual-login on a single computer works fine as far as I could see.

I have used it to run istaria (windowed mode) on an old laptop computer.

As long as you have two or more subscriptions you can dual or multi boot Istaria using the launcher. One caveat, allow each copy to fully load and be in game before starting the next launch. Sometimes if launched too close together, you will transport error both of them because the authentication server can't differentiate which one is which.
