Whats the best Weapon Crystal?

Still one of the best weapon crystals is the "Veteran Dark Garnet Weapon Crystal" in my opinion.

If you want to know specific settings you have to give more information. Claw, axe, sword? etc.

there is no best...but you definitely want a VDGWC.

The other two depends upon your playstyle nad what you are trying to achieve.

Once you are level 100, I think a +65 Str crystal is better than a Vetern Dark Garnet crystal. If you can use them both in your combination of crystals, so much the better.

i have a crystal 12% damage is etheral
or damaging crystals (80-100 spirit damage over time)

arent they worth to put them into a weapon?

+65 str? that means about 6,5 damage more per hit?

I use an Ancient/Exsanguinating (sp?) crystal combination in a spiked claw that works well, although I'd still kill for a Dim Crystal of Might - as would many players, I think. They are exceedingly difficult to find, if players are even willing to sell, and don't drop from mobs.

In my claw I think I have a VDGWC, the fangs of fury? and an old event crystal that gives me 80% of the damage I do back as health. the dim crystal of might is nice, get one if you can. Also, you might think about putting a hunter tech on your claw, Its a nice little damage kicker.

The best melee weapons imo are two handers teched with a flame tech and 2 sockets, one for the VDGWC and one for the dim crystal of might. The damage is almost unreasonable.

uhm whats a hunter tech? it needs a free "tech-slot" on the weapon?

yeah it takes a slot, but you can add it later as long as you have the space. you can get the form by doing a quest in sslanis. may be a biped only quest... not sure. it adds nature dmg on about 40-50% of your swings.

wow nice i only knew about a fighter quest where you get a flaming tech (1 item to apply to 1 weapon) im not sure if it works on a dragon claw.

Hunters Retribution works like Withered Bane, you can craft multiples of the tech. Withered Bane is nice to use against undead. Hunters Retribution good for everything else. So you need to do both so you have one of each. Dragons can do both quests I believe.

Yep have 2 claws with those 2 techs, but flaming weapon dont goes on a dragon claw, i tested it.

They used to be dropped a long time ago, and were fixed around the time of the first crystal revamp. Basically, they weren't supposed to have the extra delay-adjusted damage.

I don't remember anything about the Dim Crystal of Might, though. Must have been another bugged crystal that popped in after one of the revamps.

It scales with your strength, so adds couple of 100's dmg per hit.

The VDGWC is not obtainable anymore. The Dim Crystal of Might was obtainable per presents due Gnomekindle.
