very close now I just need someone to tell me where it is (I'll give a hint, racial town.....not sure if it is though lol, but cant think of any other hints)

found it! a carpet on the floor in dalimond, by loselren the fashion designer and ella verin the tailor trainer. there are horses running all around it. :-)
this was after running around a bunch of places, and deciding the carvings in mahagra of an owl, a scrawny bird, a newt, a dragonfly and a snake did not fit your riddle, nor the bird in theed's wall hanging.

Whoops, I forgot to post a new riddle! Let me see...

Once Blighted, now no longer, but still green.
A long tongue, two thumbs, but neither taste nor grasp.
Soared over and ignored overhead.
Flourishing in bright sun, bright flourishes under me.

The answer I was looking for was a leaf off of one of the odd Feladan trees (what is the name for that kind of tree, anyway?).
Since C`gan was closest with his guess of Feladan, I guess he can post the next riddle.

Bridges ashes = H bridges the gap between "as" and "es" on either end of "ashes"
Thrice as inviting = I appears 3 times in "inviting"
Twice in the crock = C appears 2 times in "crock"
Only at the start = O starts the word "only"
Running away in a pair = N, the doubled (pair) letters in "Running"
Playing amidst a fiddle = I is in the midst of "fiddle" and in "playing"
and ending in the lilacs. = S is at the end of "lilacs"
