The Human and Dwarven armies, unable to cross the Sable Straights without engaging the Saris, watched the construction of Sslanis in shock.

It is worth noting that when Scholar Helian observed that the Human and Dwarven forces were absorbed with the Sslik, she took advantage of this distraction to establish and settle Chiconis. The Vandus King was caught totally by surprise; by the time the Human troops could be redeployed, Chiconis was well-protected. General Malganival Lunus himself informed the Vandus scouts that the entire Lunus faction would gladly join the defense of Chiconis if it meant a chance to spill Human blood. Wisely, the human forces withdrew, leaving both Chiconis and Sslanis in peace.

450 B.R. Founding of Sslanis (Sslik)

There appears to be a minor conflict in the timeline here.
It would appear that Sslanis was founded first while the Human army was at the Sable Straights (unable to cross). Chiconis was founded during this distraction and the human armies where redeployed from the Sable Straights to Chiconis. The humans then withdrew and left Chiconis and Sslanis in peace.

    Also of note:

The Race Description is in direct conflict with Sslik Lore concerning Human relations.

That's pretty much correct. The Sslik crossed the Sable Straits and entered the protection of the Saris, leaving the Human & Dwarven armies on the Greater Aradoth side during 451BR. Without portals, troop movements took time in those days. Dragons could move far faster and relay information & status updates with great ease. With the bulk of the human & dwarven forces on the far side of the Dalimond Peninsula, Helian and her followers moved to found Chiconis. Helian had two things the Sslik didn't: a portal connection to Dralk, and the luxury of having had a great deal of time to plan.

Chiconis was founded while Sslanis was still in the planning stages. Sslanis was built very quickly, but Chiconis became a functioning city almost overnight. The Human forces went from watching a city being built far faster than they believed possible, to looking at another city that was already established and well-defended.

The Human & Dwarven forces might have dared to defy the Saris, but when they got word about the appearance of Chiconis, that was a lot more important to them than the Sslik were. The armies raced as best they could to Chiconis, which gave the Sslik time to finish building Sslanis. Of course, the human forces that came to Chiconis found out that they were far too late to do anything to stop Helian's new city.

Thanks for the clarification on the first point.

On the second, I suppose that a human scholar wrote the Race Descriptions.
