I guess I may have miswritten my question and perhaps got it unintentionally ignored.

In the process of doing treasure chests, does this mean that the occlusion modeling is getting better so we can have furniture being activated to allow us to build for inside structures?

What does occlusion modeling have to do with chest? It is not like there are going to be thousands of chest in a close area like there would be furniture. I think it was more of coding that X item, a X type key, was needed to open X type of chest. I do not think we had something like that before.

Now that being said if that is what has happened could keys be created for silos that we could give to people to allow access to the silos or other types of storage? But thinking about it I take it that would be hard to create and would increase Database use greatly and so most likely not possible.

The chests aren't persistant items like furniture. They're more like motherlode nodes - there will be a chance for one to spawn in a given area and it will remain until opened.

    Treasure chests sound cool

Rare "magic items" and "different loot table" sound cool

Rogue class for those "all 100 adv. class players" so you can pick the locks... naaah, they would just use trophies, ramp up the class and pick all the chests open

I don't know how destructive it would be to the "crafting class" if items came with pre-existing stuff (minus the 'blighted' possible debuffs)

I really wish there was tech for crafters to "modify" existing armor / weapons / etc. so someone can decide the sword they got from a chest can be twinked by a crafter to make it better.

I believe you can view it on YouTube without having to have QuickTime installed:

I don't wish to be rude but... does the main character in the movie have man-boobs? Perhaps a bit too much Harvest Ale? :P

I stand corrected. Only a real great guy can wear them like he does .

I've been wondering about the Labyrinth, and hope the same mistake isn't made (in my opinion) as happened on EQ3 err vanguard.
When unity collapsed I played Vanguard until unity chars were ressurected. It was ok to play at first but I always thought the game was biased toward adv.
The upcoming Labyrinth seems to me a form of dungeons.
Things got worse when the dungeons started, rewards were ultra rare armor, jewells, weapons etc. which were higher than could be crafted and so basically made crafters redundant.
The other effect of the dungeons was these were very intensive and took a lot of time and large groups would be down a dungeon all day long and with the play being so intense were not in touch with other players concentration being solely on the quest. So the shard always appeared to be more empty.
Also with the long duration and intensive nature of these dungeon quests it was not suitable for casual players.
One of the main attractions of Horizons it the free form way in which it is played so you could plan what you wish to do depending on how long you intend to be playing in a session.
Just some thoughts I been having maybe I'm completely wrong and have misunderstood what the Labyrinth is all about, I hope so.
