Default Returning Player Needs Some Help Please

Ok I think I got the game working crosses fingers hubby is still having issues and hopefully when I get home today we both can log in, we ended up striping the hard drives and reverting to Xp 64.

So I would love to play my big dragon but wow so much has changed and I have searched every where for a quest guide or some type of map with loc's of what I should be doing, I meet a very nice dragon and was directed to Kirasant but flying around for awhile and so far only have come across mobs level 54 and one mean pig that almost ate me for lunch but that is all.

So is thier a guide on the areas levels for crafting and leveling. My main problem is cash and teleport is mighty expensive so I can not just pop into all the area and fly aimlessly for hours.

I know my armor might not be the best but I need to get some kind of focus here, ha ha.

So please if anyone can direct me to the correct area it would be greatly appreciated, and I checked the trainers including the crafting ones and no quest from them yet I am 68 and I think only 38 crafting. Not enough cash to start lair crafting so I figure I would start with the adventure.

I looked on the boards and wiki to no avail, no idea where to look, can not get the map pak to work.

So thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Any hints on what my main focus should be gear wise and also where do I sell my junk to, the merchant that I found is mighty cheap and only giving me copper

I am Lunas and crafting I think I make spells but not to clear on it yet.

    Welcome back.

Maybe this will help. Link to a forum post for the most recent map pack for Istaria. Since the map pack contains all the mob tags and more you can do a search with the map in game once you've added this or scroll about manually looking for what you need.

    http://community.istaria.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=18054

Just read the part you couldn't get the pack to work. The main part goes in to

    C:\Program Files\Virtrium\Horizons\resources_override\resourc es\interface\Maps

In the Defs folder goes the UIMapWindow.def file from the map pack

    C:\Program Files\Virtrium\Horizons\resources_override\resourc es\interface\Themes\Default\Defs

    Then go to C:\Program Files\Virtrium\Horizons\prefs

Open up the file called ClientPrefs_Common.def with note pad. Scroll to the very bottom of the list and you'll see a line that starts with string mapPath= delete that line and copy past this line exactly in its place

    string mapPath = "resources_override/resources/interface/maps"

This tweak is NOT for MapPack 3.2, the MapPack3.2 ini file tweak is little different so wont enable map pack 3.3E. You need to add this map string path for map pack 3.3E map to enable.

    First, Welcome back!

For your money - porting problem.

You can port free to the racial towns if you go through either abandoned isle (needs attuning) or through Acul (place on Trandalar, reachable from every racial town portal).

Trandalar is probably a nice place for hunting too

    Hurray! Mor
rison is back at his house near Bristugo!
    And the wisps on wis
    p isle are moving again!
If you can't see 'em, you know you've got proper invisible runes.

Ah Gnomes is the bribe gotcha ya ....but can I still eat the elfs that I hoarded or must I let me go? Starts gnome hunting tonight

Ok Sigi I will try to figure out how to do that. I am tempted to roll new I feel so out of place but I love my dragon and would love to see her grow to ancient. But that would mean I would have to re-start my crafting, ha ha took me forever just to get to what level I am now.... shivers

for some quick cash, you can hunt critters that drop money bags (i usually cash em in when i get them, so not sure about every critter that drops, but pygs and ogres do - and blights give coin when you kill em too, i believe, i think gols drop coinbags as well....) or for trophies (hunt critters at your level and sell them to the aug trophy hunter - i make big coin that way....)
keep your tech resources if you are on the live shards - you can sell them to crafters......
if all else fails, sell the loot you don't want (forms, blighted weapons, etc) to the pb (or connie, but if it doesn't sell it comes back to you...). not the ideal way to make cash, but some items (blight bindings are worth way more than blight ess for instance) are quite lucrative.

o and also, tho i haven't tried it myself (despite the casino on the cheese palace) apparently playing the slots can be very worth the time as well....

Try out this link for the dragon quests. Between the quest site and the map pack you'll have a good start.
