Patcher Solution
Well - there's sure some frazzled programmers over here. We have a solution to patcher troubles. If you started having patcher problems within the last two weeks, then this fix will likely help you.
The .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) has issues after an upgrade to the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (SP1). These issues are fixed in a .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 update.
For clarity (clear as mud):
- .NET 3.5 SP1 breaks .NET 2.0 SP2
- A hotfix for .NET 3.5 SP1 fixes .NET 2.0 SP2
