Unjoining a school? can I do that?

recently I created a biped char on Chaos. I joined the Outfitters school and the first quest I received was part II, which is to create a flaxen cloth belt. O.o what happened to part I of the quest? I also did not receive the tools for an outfitter from the trainer. I, however, was given the proper tools by another player Mordig. Many thanx to him for helping my char.

I tried to delete the quest and ask for it again to see if it would clear it, but to no avail. My question is, is there a way to unjoin the school? I'm hoping that if I can do this that it might clear the glitch and let me proceed as I should. thanx.

AFAIK there's no in-game way to drop a crafting class; I suggest you file a support ticket about it.

You can get training tools from the NPC. Or get them quite easily from consigners and other players. Plus, being in lots of crafting schools has no effect on your character so there's no need to remove one.

Does that mean the part II craft quest was as intended, or that part I is not relevant for her at this point? I think it was the attempt to reset the quest that was driving her to try dropping the class.

exactly.. I would rejoin the school.. just wanted to reset it. I have submitted a ticket in the meantime. Now I just wait to hear from them and see what happens.

You can get training tools from the NPC. Or get them quite easily from consigners and other players. Plus, being in lots of crafting schools has no effect on your character so there's no need to remove one.

My experience was that if I started a school on Spirits Island I received the training gear, but starting a school in NT which also has a NPC in Spirits Island didnt give me the gear untill I went back to spirits... and asked them from the trainer there.

I am positive that this happened to me once with the mage school, perhaps the other schools have simular issues.

if I had started the outfitter school on NT I would agree. but I started it on the training island.. so I have no clue as to why it happened. but thanx for the share.. at least I know what to look for.

Yes, This happened with me as well when try to start Blacksmithing. I skip the training Isle and went straight to TS. When i talked to the trainer there he would not give me Tools (which i had from another friend) or the First bar Formula. Had to go back to Spirits and do the crafting quest there to get them from that trainer.

If I got lets say, L 100 tinkerer. And start a with lets say L 1 Blacksmith I do not get XP for making lets say, Bronze Bars. I maybe can make Mithril or Cobalt Bars but it surely does affect my character and my other Craft schools - from that point of view its nice to have an option to drop a Craft school like we can drop Adventure schools

My experience has been that where skills cross over in crafting, it is a far bigger boon to leveling quickly than any kind of negative. That said, I can see from a roleplay perspective that someone might want to drop a craft school taken by mistake.

Regardless, we're not going to add a way to remove crafting schools.

Look at completed quests. It might be silly, but they may have goofed up that quest line, and the first part might be to actually join the school?
