Dragon color modding made easy :)

So I've made three packs of dragon mods for those uncomfortable with going through the files themselves and going through the process of renaming files and IDing which file is which in game.

Just unzip the mod of your choice in the resources_override folder and launch the character creator to play with the new colors. The two dragon color mods cannot be used in conjunction with each other, but you can use either one in combination with the stripe mod safely. Please uninstall one before using the other. They will be in a folder by themselves so to uninstall, simply delete the DragonColorVerXX folder that is within your override folder.

Keep in mind that only you will be able to see these colors! Everyone else sees the normal colors, so I suggest when actually making a character or during normal gameplay that you remove the mod. Otherwise you risk making a green dragon with red stripes when you meant to make a copper dragon with black stripes.

The first one I tried to match close to the already in game dragon colors:
The black is more of a black
There are metallic versions of purple and blue
A sky blue
A nicer pink
Silver instead of white
A copper instead of the other yellow

The second is a natural pack which includes much more browns, golds and two blues I found interesting but couldn't fit it in the other mod.

The third file is a stripe mod. It changes the purple and teal stripes to "white" and umm... orange? I forget the other. these pictures do the mod no sense of justice, but are a decent preview of the differences.



The first image is what an unmodded game head looks like. The second is the color mod and the last image is the natural colored mod.

Do these mods also work for dragons that are already created?

Of course, but they mod all dragons with the color, not just your own.

For kicks, I logged in my own characters with the mod on.I love Ricar's darker color and my girls got the shiny bodies. Durke just turned a nice orange Didn't include Keserith because aside from the stupid green spots that I can't get rid of, he didn't seem to change.

Using the stripe mod, Shian's spots turn orange so you do get weird results with the dragons that have a combination that is just so.

It might be little of-topic but I see you use the white colored horn and teeth mod, but that mod (atleast the one solitaire posted yesterday) doesn't seem to work for me. No one on that topic told me how, so how did you get it to work?

ooh I love the metal blue and purple..very nice. And that metally/darker red would prolly look nice on me too.

I prolly won't mess with it cuz I don't care to see things "not as they are" to other people but awesome for you to share!

i don't understand when i put this mod on ...why do i have to go to the creations screen? i don't want to have to make my draggies all over again.

You don't have to. It's suggested. So you can see what a silver dragon looks like even though everyone else sees a green dragon. It gives the ablility to play with colors that we as players don't get.

hehe, just tried this mod, got a funny result on meepsa, her pink got softer and her stripes got white, she looks really old XD

The scale mood is cool and awesome, but not soo cool when You look at what it did to A poor Alph dragon - XD - Quiet funny though, to my opinion.

Hmm not sure if it's the natural one or the other, but I've completely changed colour.
