Thread: Silentpatcher.exe

    Default Silentpatcher.exe

Norton Antivirus quarentined my copy of Silentpatcher.exe -- this kept the game from launching. Once I beat up on Norton, it let me use the program under protest. I am using Norton 360, version 4.2.0.12 under Vista.

It shows the program as high risk: "A program was behaving suspiciously on your computer".

Once I restored the file, Istaria came up properly.

I have norton telling me what it does, others my have it act silently and not know this has happened.

SwordMage, you can configure Norton to ignore the Istaria folder or that specific file. Simply go to Settings and then Scan Exclusions. You can select a single file or an entire folder structure.
