Nisse 100 Helian/Nissei 100 Lunus/SShiak biped (All on Chaos)
hmmm...
I tried to change the templates a bit, experimenting with those of female dryad
\resources\textures_agh\characters\characters\drya d_f
I transformed them using agh2dds - all except the _tat_00 look incomplete. The body texture is cut off at the half of the picture and then the tattoo texture is displayed.
Well I thought...
I continued transforming them from dds to tga using ddsconverter2, changed them a little with corel photopaint, changed them back with ddsconverter2 to dds and dds2agh.
the result was unsatisfying. In the game was no effect at all. In the character creation process, the changes are visible on the tat_00 texture, all others are not displayed :(
Ok, after tracking down ddsconverter2... Your problem is probably that it's saving as a DXTn file format, and HZ expects a 16 bit format (grey+alpha? alpha+lum?) I have not yet found a program that can properly convery back to the dds format I need to make a type 3 agh... still a work in progress...
Thanks for the tools Fridlekh
Here is an ogre skin I threw together... just to see if I could get it to work.
Ogre
Ogre 2
I used The Gimp with a DDS plugin to edit the DDS file directly, so I never had to export DDS to another file format.
The Gimp is a free "paint" program, just do a search on Google if you want it.
The DDS plugin was downloaded seperatly.
EDIT: Updated the skins

Unity: 100/100 Lunus
I went searcing for gimp found a few places that was hosting it...but I just did not trust those sites..were did you get your gimp and the dds plugin?
http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
you need to download the two top files (GTK and Gimp)
http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/dds/
"win32 binaries" under downloads
the zip file contains a readmewith infowhere to put the files
and you also need Fridlekh's tools
I will update the ogreskins soon... the ones you saw were just version 1
EDIT: Skins updated
Ogre
Ogre 2
In the void.
Unity: 100/100 Lunus
Hey Frid the links to the converters bring up a page saying "Locked Resource"
Any way to get the most recent versions?
I'm hoping to fix the buggered texture on one of my favorite axes, as well as the Demons Blood Battle axe which is textureless at the moment. Once I get the [Fine Large Mithril Battle Axe New] texture fixed, the same one should go fine on the demons blood axe as well. Might darken or bloody it up a bit as well.
It will be my first attempt at manipulating textures in the game. All I have done so far is find a few and save them out (Bloody moon from last halloween)
Maybe if I come up with a fix for the demon's blood battle axe, they can build it into upcoming patch
those skins are awesome looking firedragon [Y]
