unable to login...

the launcher is giving me issues when i try to login...




this is what it gives me. what's going on? NOTE: this is a fresh install.

hmm have you tried using the LauncherII.jar? The window looks like the old java launcher

old? you mean that java launcher that i've been using for years upon years is finally outdated and not being used anymore?


EDIT: HOLY CRAP it is outdated. i saw the new launcher. wow.

java launcher is not outdated. but make sure you don't have the launcher set not to update. and try again. depends on if you're using jlauncher.exe or launcher.exe

on character screen there's a maintenance button, open and make sure to uncheck the box that says do not allow updates, or whatever..

i CAN'T get to the character screen because i cannot log in to get to the character screen, that's my issue. looks like i'm filing a ticket then.

since i can't edit my previous post for some reason, i'll post here.


i still cannot login, and my ticket has gone unanswered so far. looks like i'm MIA from the game for a while.

Looking at the error message it looks like the launcher is not being allowed to connect to the internet and reach the login server.

While your waiting for a response I would check that you don't have a firewall blocking access for the jlauncher.exe, launcher.exe, launcher.jar (and istaria.exe).

I'd look at the windows firewall and any other anti virus software that may be in use.

problem solved. it was Java 7 patch 5. it has issues with Networking of all things LOL.

Great find, the misbehaving java version. Had the same problem and was able to solve it thanks to this thread

my biggest problem is the istaria.exe file tends to stop responding, and the game freezes. I have to open task manager, and end the process to unfreeze. Even tried clearing the cache, but I still get it. now every port to Genevia freezes up.
only tried on Order gotta try on chaos, and Blight yet.

I had the same prob after I returned from blight.
Even task manager was"frozen" all comp did not work.

Flame solved that installing his launcher on my comp.
hmm- no help for you- but maybe a hint .
(btw- it was not while porting here..it was while planning plot.
6x in a row.. and then I was unable to log in again)

Istaria.exe stopping working happens a lot to me. Then again, I'm currently the crash-and-glitch magnet.

I tend to just log right back on stubbornly. At most I'll crash 4 times in a row then stay stable for at least long enough to fly from one side of Dralk to the other.

I get a lot of Istaria.exe is not responding....thus, dropping me from the game. *shrugs*
